The Senedd is made up of 60 Assembly Members; 40 representing each of the Welsh constituencies and 20 representing one of the five regions of Wales. Constituency Assembly Members are elected by a first-past-the-post ballot, whilst Regional Members are elected by a form of proportional representation known as the ‘Additional Member System’. Mark is a regional Assembly Member and represents the North Wales region.

The role of an AM
An Member represents all of their constituents at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay. They deal with all matters relating to their constituency. Mark can help you with any issues that are devolved to the Senedd. These include:

Mark deals with issues on behalf of constituents from across North Wales and raises matters directly with the Ministers concerned, seeks answers to written questions and speaks out in debates on the floor of the Assembly.
Weekly meetings of all 60 Members of the Senedd are referred to as Plenary meetings, and take place in the Senedd debating chamber on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons between 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
